Frey, Emma (14 JAN 1879 - 6 JAN 1959)
Mrs. W. H. Frey, 79, Withee (Clark Co.), Wis., died at 4:20 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, 1959, at the home of her son Harold. She had been ill for seven weeks.
Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home. The Rev. James stone of the Alliance Church officiated and burial was made at the Riverside Cemetery. Rev. and Mrs. Stone sang "Nearer My God to Thee" and "In the Sweet By and By," accompanied by Mrs. Toivo Kallio on the organ.
Pallbearers were Jens Anderson, Sam Anderson, Edward Cizik, Ray Dearth, Joe Adams and Art Karow.
Mrs. Fey, nee Emma A Zietlow, was born Jan. 14, 1879, at Juda, Wis. They resided at Elkhorn, Lake Geneva, and Burlington, Wis., before moving to their farm north of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) in August 1917, where she resided until 1950, when they moved to their present home on route 1, Withee.
She was a devout Christian and an active worker in her church.
She is survived by her husband, two sons, Elmer George of Eau Claire and Harold Arnold of Owen, and 10 grandchildren. One son, Walter Milton, died in infancy. Also one nephew, Eldon Zietlow of Boulder Colo., survives.
