John Frederick Schwantes, Janesville, formerly of Spencer, and Miss Emily Ruth Wobig, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Wobig of Janesville, were married at 4 o’clock Saturday, July 5, at St. Paul’s Lutheran church in Janesville. Rev. E. A. L. Treu read the ceremony and T. E. Eckemeyer played the wedding march. Miss Violet Schwantes, sister of the groom, was the bridesmaid and Raymond Gee served as the best man. The bride’s mother and Mrs. George Schwantes of Spencer were in attendance.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Schwantes are employed in Janesville and will reside in that city. Mr. and Mrs. George Schwantes, Caroline and William Schwantes of Spencer were in attendance at the wedding.
