Schultz, John M.A. (21 OCT 1967 - 6 APR 2011)

GREENWOOD -- John Michael Alan Schultz, 43, formerly of Greenwood, passed away unexpectedly in New York, N.Y., on Wednesday, April 6, 2011.

A visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 21, 2011, at Cuddie Funeral Home, in Loyal. There will be no services held.

John was born Oct. 21, 1967, in Hanford, Calif., and moved to Wisconsin with his parents in 1969.

John loved to compose music, play piano and to be the life of the party. He will be remembered for writing and performing his graduation class song for the Greenwood High School class of 1986. He loved to share with all of us his gift of musical talent by singing or playing the piano whenever he would come home to visit, or over the phone. John was very interested in animals, animal behavior and science and enjoyed sharing his knowledge with the rest of us.

John is survived by his parents, Tawana (John Hastings) Schultz of Dubuque, Iowa, Dennis (Debbie Marvin) Schultz of Greenwood; his siblings: Ronnie Schultz of Stillwater, Minn., Dee Schultz of Marshfield, Cindi (Robert) Weisenberger of Eau Claire, Debbie (Tim) Welch of Tony, and Dawn (Kevin) Cook of Loyal.

John loved his nieces and nephews with all of his heart and his favorite things to do with them was to encourage them to use their imaginations and to know that whatever dreams they had, they could come true. Ashley, Dillon, Tyler, Alexis, Sam, Julia, Jack and Owen will surely miss their uncle.

He is further survived by his loving grandparents, Howard and Joyce Schultz of Greenwood. His aunts, uncles and many cousins will miss him as well as friends that he has made all over the country.

Cuddie Funeral Home, of Loyal, is assisting the family with arrangements.
