Awe, Lenore (6 DEC 1901 - 3 MAR 1959)
Funeral services for Mrs. Herman Awe who passed away Tuesday forenoon at the Havenet Nursing Home will be held at two o’clock Saturday afternoon from the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home. The Rev. J.R. Stone will be in charge of the service with burial to be made at Riverside Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jerome Boehnlein, Gordon Domer, Robert Domer, Reuben Schulle, Norman Behringer, and Werner Dahl. In charge of the floral offerings will be Wilma Behringer, Gayla Urban, Carol Domer and Miss Dahl.
Mrs. Awe, nee Lenore Holverson, was born Dec. 6, 1901 at Neillsville, where she spent her childhood and obtained her education. On June 20, 1923, she was united in marriage to Herman Awe in a ceremony performed at Neillsville. Shortly thereafter the couple moved to the Town of Green Grove (Clark Co., Wis.) where they farmed successfully and took great pride in their well-kept property.
She is survived by her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Albert (Bonniebell) Urban of Wauwatosa, Wis., and Mrs. Orlando (Judith) Ackerman of Owen; one brother, Edwin Holverson, Silverbow, Mont.; two sisters, Mrs. Edward (Rosalie) Jesse, and Constance Lowe, Milwaukee; her mother, Agnes Holverson, and six grandchildren.
