Tichy, Frances (20 April 1883 - 16 February 1962)
Mrs. Alois (Frances) Tichy, 78, of Neillsville, died Friday. Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Georgas Funeral Home. The Rev. Lloyd Mauer of the Methodist Church officiated. Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.
Mrs. Tichy was born April 20, 1883, in Czechoslovakia. In 1905, she came to America, where, on September of that year, she was married to Alois Tichy in Chicago, Ill. They lived there until 1915, when they came to Clark County, locating on a farm in the town of Levis. They retired in 1946 and moved into Neillsville.
She is survived by her husband and the following children: Mrs. Frank (Frances) Holotik, Brookfield, Ill.; Stephen Tichy, Rt. 1 Greenwood; Louis Tichy, Valparaiso, Ind.; Mrs. Frank (Ann) Sladek, Marshfield; Charles Tichy, La Crosse; Mrs. Joe (Helen) Pornek, Lyons, Ill.; and Mrs. Leroy (Evelyn) Billings, Minneapolis, Minn. and nineteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive.
