Minarich, George G. (12 March 1892 - February 1962)

 

Funeral services for George G. Minarich, 69, were held last Thursday morning at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, with the Rev. Edward Hartung officiating. Burial was made in St. Mary’s Cemetery.  Pallbearers were Joseph Gregorich, Bernard Novobielski, Matt Malnar, Andrew Novobielski, William Benzschawel and Fred Norton.

 

Mr. Minarich was born March 12, 1892 in Yugoslavia.  He was never married.  After he came to the United States he worked in the coal mines, living in New Mexico and Illinois.  He came to the Greenwood area 19 years ago and purchased his present home in Greenwood 12 years ago.

 

He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Anna Kezele of Chicago, Ill., and a sister, Mrs. Mary Plese, and a brother Ivan Minarich, both in Yugoslavia.  Mrs. Andrew Novobielski of Greenwood is a niece.

 

People from away attending the funeral were: Mrs. Anna Kezele and Fred Norton of Chicago; Mrs. Mike Bolf of Longwood; and friends of the Willard area.
