Daenicke, Shirley #2 (25 APR 1959)

Miss Shirley Ann Daenicke and Donald H. Marcott were married Saturday in the Christ Lutheran Church at Abbotsford.  The Rev. F.H. Sprengler officiated at the 2:00 o’clock ceremony for the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin H. Daenicke of Abbotsford and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred J. Marcott of Dorchester (Clark Co., Wis.).

As Miss Daenicke approached the altar escorted by her father, Herbert Juneau played the wedding march.  He also sang "The Lord’s Prayer" and "O Perfect Love."  Yellow and white gladioli decorated the church altar.

A white floor length gown of taffeta with tiered net ruffled overskirt was worn by the bride.  It was fashioned with a bateau neckline and short sleeves.  A small scalloped cap held her fingertip length veil.

Mrs. Raymond Johnson of Abbotsford was matron of honor for her sister and Mrs. W. Arthur Marcott of Owen was bridesmaid.  They wore yellow dresses of shirred net and ruffles over taffeta and carried colonial bouquets of yellow and white carnations.

The groom’s attendants were Raymond Johnson as best man and W. Arthur Marcott as groomsman.  Donald Daenicke and Robert Marcott, brothers of the bridal couple, ushered.

A reception was held at the bride’s sister’s home and a supper was served in the church basement.  A wedding dance was held in Dorchester Memorial Hall.

Mr. and Mrs. Marcott are graduates of Abbotsford High School.  He is engaged in farming and Mrs. Marcott is employed in the office of the American Box Board Co. at Colby.
