Steinwand, Catherine (Award - 26 MAY 1959)

Catherine Steinwand, a junior at Wis. State College at Eau Claire, was awarded a gold pin for services on the college publications at the annual publications banquet recently, and on the 26thh of the month will again be honored.  On that date she will be initiated into Pi Delta Epsilon, honorary journalism fraternity Pi Delta Epsilon formed to elevate the cause of journalism, to foster the mutual welfare of student publications, and to reward students who work on student publications..

Catherine, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Steinwand, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), is enrolled in the secondary education program at the college with majors in French and English.  She is a member of many organizations, including Sigma Tau Delta, Sigma Pi Kappa, Kappa Delta Pi.
