Wenzel, John (1887 - 8 March 1962)
John Wenzel, 73, long-time resident of the Town of Hixon, died March 8 at his home of complications due to a stroke.
He was born in Sheboygan County in 1887. He lived there until about 1915, when he moved onto a farm in the Town of Hixon.
He married Elvie Replogle July 28, 1910. Surviving are two children, Basil of Withee, and Mrs. Robert (Nina) Hull of Marshfield; his wife; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Five brothers and sisters preceded him in death.
The funeral services were held Sunday in Owen. Burial as made in Riverside Cemetery at Withee. The Rev. Ralph Claybaugh officiated.
