Ervin Kelsh, 69, died early last Wednesday morning in Neillsville.  He was well known here, having lived most of his life in and around Humbird.  After several years of farming the family moved into the village, where he operated a blacksmith shop until 1956, when he retired.

He was a member of the local I. O. O. F. Lodge and was the town assessor for several years, and held that position at the time of his death.

Funeral services were conducted in Augusta Friday at 2 p.m., the Rev. Frank B. Harcey of Neillsville officiating. Burial was made in the Alma Center Cemetery.

Survivors are his wife, Dora; a son, Carroll (Bud) Kelsh of Fargo, N. D.; three daughters, Mrs. Marjorie Bletchley, Meriden, Conn., Mrs. Herbert (Betty) Corey, Collins, Mont., and Mrs. Robert Harden, Augusta; a brother, Lewis Kelsh, Minocqua; three sisters, Miss Mary Kelsh, Onalaska, Mrs. Adolph Reineck, Alma Center, and Mrs. Cecil Dickson, Omaha, Nebr.; and several grandchildren.
