Miss Shirley Mahannah appeared before an altar bedecked with bouquets of white gladioli and daisies flanked with two seven branched candelabras to exchange marriage vows with Charles Haas. The Rev. W. Steinmetz, pastor of Trinity Methodist Church of Keokuk, Iowa, officiated at an 8:00 o’clock ceremony on Saturday, June 6th, 1959.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Paul Mahannah of 620 North 7th St., Keokuk, Iowa, and Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Haas of Withee.
Mr. Mahannah escorted his daughter down the aisle and Marjorie Bullis played traditional music on the organ. The bride appeared in a gown of ballerina length, the full skirt was of Chantilly lace over nylon net. The fitted bodice was of lace over taffeta edged with scallops over a wide crushed chiffon cummerbund. The scooped neckline tapered to a V in back, the gown featured capped sleeves. A veil of illusion net was attached to a pearl crown. She carried a bouquet of white roses entwined with blue daisies.

The very full skirt was of nylon net. To complete her ensemble she wore a half hat trimmed with veil and carried a circular bouquet of blue and white daisies centered with blue carnations.
Gerald Haas of Minneapolis, Minn., was groomsman. Ushering duties were performed by John Blunck Jr., Withee, and Jim Stump of Fort Madison, Iowa.
