Bruchert, Leonard (26 NOV 1920 - 10 JUN 1959)

 

Relatives and friends were shocked to hear of the sudden death of Leonard Bruchert, son of Mrs. Emma Bruchert of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.).

 

Mr. Bruchert died Wednesday, June 10 at the Wood Veterans Hospital at Milwaukee, where he had been a patient for three weeks, the cause of death being termed as prophognunia.  Funeral services were conducted Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the Wood Hospital Chapel and interment was made at Wood Cemetery.  The services and rites were conducted by Rev. A.L. Ellwein, pastor of the Walther Memorial Lutheran Church, of which Mr. Bruchert was a member, and by Chaplain Tubesing of Wood Hospital.

 

A native of Withee, Mr. Bruchert was born Nov. 26, 1920, the son of the late Fred Bruchert and his wife, Emma (nee Brandt) of Withee.  He attended the Withee Public Schools and graduated from Withee High School in 1938.  He was a veteran of World WarII.  He attained further education by attending Spencerian College of Milwaukee.  Preceding his death, he was employed by R.J. Wittenburg as office manager and bookkeeper.

 

On the date of Feb. 22, 1947, he married the former Dorothy Haas, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Haas of Adell, Wis.

 

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are one sons, Roger; his mother, Mrs. Fred Bruchert; four sisters, Mrs. William (Louise) Buss of Clintonville, Mrs. Walter (Laura) Rheingans of Richfield, Mrs. George (Helen) Stark of Greenwood, Mrs. Otto (Irma) Sachs of Greenwood; and three brothers, Bernard of Milwaukee, Norbert and Leon of Withee; several nieces and nephews and a host of good friends.
