Mutka, Olga M. (24 AUG 1883 - 8 JUL 1959)
Funeral services were held for Mrs. Olga Maria Mutka at the Bethany Lutheran Church, Owen, of which she was a member, on Saturday the 11th of July, with Rev. John Saarinen officiating. Interment was made at the Riverside Cemetery.
Pallbearers were her two grandsons, John and Arthur Andersen, and William Kangas, Toivo Kallio, Andrew Kallio and Pentha Puro.
Flower girls were Theda Puro, Jane Kangas, Grace Kallio, Anna Ristola and Ina Laakso.
Olga Maria Mutka (nee Harju Mattila) passed away at her rural home on the 8th of July, 1959.
Born in Kaukajoki, Vaasa Loani, Finland, Aug. 24, 1883, she came to Ironwood, Mich. in 1909 and was married to Matti Mutka on Sept. 30, 1910 in Ironwood.
They moved to Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) in 1918 where they purchased a farm in the Town of Hoard, where she has resided ever since.
She is survived by six children, Viena of Minneapolis, Minn.; Tyyne of Owen; Wilma (Mrs. Dan Andersen) of Owen, and Voitto of Owen; Walter of St. James, Mo.; and Vilho of Madison; one son-in-law, Dan Andersen of Owen, a daughter-in-law, Annie Mutka and seven grandchildren, in addition to several sisters and brothers who still reside in Finland.
