Pralguske, Leocadia V. (5 MAR 1884 - 27 AUG 1959)

 

Funeral services were held at 10 o’clock Monday morning at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Owen, for Mrs. Leocadia V. Pralguske, 75, of rural route Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), who died of a cerebral hemorrhage Thursday in the Stanley Hospital where she had been a patient for four weeks.  The Rev. H. L. Crubel officiated and burial was made in Riverside Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers were Arthur Smasal, Ray Munson, Ed Mertens, Steve Pawlak, Frank Cieslik and Dick Rabska.

 

The former Leocadia Entas was born in Lithuania on March 5, 1884 and came to the United States as a young girl.  Her marriage to John Pralguske took place on May 8, 1904 at Kewaunee, Ill.  The couple came to the Withee area in 1914 and settled on a farm in the Town of Longwood.  Mr. Pralguske died in 1945.  Since 1946 she had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Lewis Gehrke.

 

Surviving are three sons, John Pralguske, Chicago; Charles Pralguske, West Fargo, N.D.; and Julius Pralguske, Waterloo, Iowa; two daughters, Mrs. Lewis (Anne) Gehrke, Withee; and Mrs. Genevieve Mikolanis, rural Thorp; 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles and Walter Entas, both of Kewaunee, Ill.
