A Requiem Mass was said for Edward Alfonse Warren Friday morning at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Owen, with Father H. L. Crubel officiating. Burial was made at Riverside Cemetery.
Edward Warren, age 40, died suddenly at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, Tuesday, Sept. 22, 1959, where he had been admitted earlier in the morning. Death was attributed to a hemorrhage.
Serving as pallbearers were Menius Munson, E. Johnson, Ed Warkal, John Isaacs, Norbert Bruchert and Frank Friedenfels.
The deceased was one of five sons born to Mr. and Mrs. Pascal Warren at St. John, N.D. He was born on April 30, 1919. After living in North Dakota for many years he later moved to Chicago, Ill. On April 11, 1942, he was united in marriage to Angeline Jasin in a ceremony performed in Chicago.
A veteran of World War II, he served three and one-half years in the army, the last two and one-half years of which he was a radio man with a mortar company overseas, being engaged in six campaigns in the Pacific Theatre of Operations. For the past two years he was a resident of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), being employed as printer-pressman with Standard Forms.
Mourning his untimely passing are his wife and a daughter, Carol Ann; four brothers, all of whom live in the state of Washington, and one sister, Irene.
