Reigel, Fred (21 JAN 1894 - 26 NOV 1959)

 

Mr. Fred Reigel passed away Thursday morning, Nov. 26, 1959, at the Havenet Nursing Home, where he had been a resident since 1955.

 

Rev. Charles Hofflander of the Owen Gospel Tabernacle officiated at the service held at 2:00 Saturday afternoon at the Gospel Tabernacle.  Burial was made at Flanders Field in Marshfield, accompanied by military honors.  Serving as pallbearers were Frank Bloom, John Blum Sr., Elmer Jensen, Odin Erickson, Adam Skutak and Julius Johnson.  In charge of floral offerings were Mrs. Arvi Finila and Mrs. William Potter, who also contributed two vocal duets to the service.

 

Mr. Reigel was born Jan. 21, 1894 in Marshfield.  During World War I he served with the National Guard in the states and then with the U.S. Army in England.  Following his discharge from the armed forces, he made his home with his brother, Rev. Henry Reigel, former pastor of the Owen Gospel Tabernacle.

 

In May of 1955, following a severe fall in which he broke his arm, he was admitted to the Havenet Nursing Home where he lived till his death last week.

 

His passing is mourned by three brothers, F.B. Reigel of Whitewater, Fla., Joseph and William Reigel of Marshfield, and two sisters, Miss Margaret Reigel of Marshfield and Mrs. Eleanor Huget of Green Bay.

 

Preceding him in death are his parents, Mrs. and Mrs. Joseph Reigel, one brother, Henry Reigel, and three sisters, Henrietta, Dorothy and Rose.
