Laabs, Lily (17 MAR 1886 - 31 DEC 1959)
Mrs. Lily Laabs, 73, former Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.) resident, died at her home in Livingston, Mont., Thursday, Dec. 31, 1959. Funeral services were held there Monday, Jan. 4.
The former Lily Meyer was born March 17, 1886 in the town of Green Gove, and reared there. She married Andrew Botterud of Curtiss. They lived in Montana where she had spent most of her life. Mr. Botterud died in 1930, and in September 1944 she married Fred W. Laabs of Curtiss. They resided in Curtiss until his death in March of 1948, when she returned to her former home in Livingston.
Survivors are two sons, Keith Botterud, attached to the U.S. Embassy in Nicaragua; Harold Botterud, Livingston, Mont.; five grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Otto (Cora) Schulte, Colby; Mrs. Richard (Mayme) Sampe, Faribault, Minn.; Mrs. George (Stella) Gebhart, Wauwatosa, and Mrs. Della Salter, Wis. Rapids, and a brother, Herbert Meyer Sr., rural Curtiss.
A niece and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Kademan, Marshfield, attended the funeral.
