Koltis, Leonard A. (15 OCT 1950 - 4 MAY 2011)
Leonard A. Koltis, 60, of Rock Dam, rural Willard, died in Rock Dam
on Wednesday, May 4, 2011.
Funeral services will be at noon Tuesday at St. Bernard-St.
Hedwig's Catholic Church in Thorp. Burial will take place at a
later date. Visitation will be at the church Tuesday, from 11 a.m.
until time of service.
Leonard Albert Koltis was born Oct. 15, 1950, in Stanley, the son
of Walter and Daisy (Boardman) Koltis. He was united in marriage to
Frances Renn on Aug. 24, 1974, in Darboy. They later divorced. He
taught industrial arts in Pulaski for a year and then taught in
Brillion from 1975 until 1980. Leonard then went to work at Pierce
Manufacturing in Appleton as an industrial engineer. He worked
there for 10 years and then was employed as an industrial engineer
at Ariens Manufacturing in Brillion for a few years. He then
started his own business, Len's Home Improvements.
He was united in marriage to Jeanne Nohr on May 11, 2001, in
Appleton. She died Aug. 2, 2006. He continued to his carpentry
business until the time of his death.
He is survived by his daughter, Wendolyn Koltis (fiance Michael
Lambrecht) of Neillsville; his son, Wesley Koltis (special friend
Laura Parke) of Appleton; a granddaughter; his father, Walter
Koltis of Thorp; two brothers, Ernie Koltis of Washington, Iowa,
and Dr. Gordon (Marit) Koltis of Winterville, N.C.; and a sister,
Susan Elliot of Greenfield, Ind.
