Knowlton, Alice M. (11 MAR 1893 - 23 MAR 1960)

 

Mrs. Alice Marie Knowlton, who had spent most her life as a resident of the Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.) and Abbotsford communities, passed away March 23, 1960 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.  She was 67 years of age.

 

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock from the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home.  Officiating was Rev. Charles Hofflander of the Gospel Tabernacle.  Burial was made at Pink Hill Cemetery, Curtiss.

 

Serving as pallbearers were Milton Meske, Sol Krause, Albert Smith, Alfred Newman, Herb Newman and William Klessig.

 

Alice Marie Knowlton, nee Alice Maria Schmidt, was born March 11, 1893 at Rosendale, Wis.  On June 27, 1914 she married Charles Parkhill in a ceremony performed at Curtiss. On Feb. 10, 1920 she was united in marriage to Oscar Knowlton who preceded her in death, passing away in 1932.

 

She is survived by three sons, Lester Knowlton, Eastman, Wis.; Lawrence Knowlton, St. Paul Park, Minn., and Franklin Knowlton, Red Wing, Minn.; two daughters, Mrs. Lloyd (Caroline) Holverson, Owen, and Mrs. Alfred (Mabel) Peters, Eastman, Wis., and 14 grandchildren.
