Geiger, Laura (15 OCT 1877 - 22 MAR 1960)
Mrs. Laura Geiger, 82, and a resident of the Town of Longwood (Clark Co., Wis.) since 1917, passed away at the Clark County Hospital Tuesday the 22nd of March 1960. She had suffered a stroke which proved fatal.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 o’clock Saturday afternoon from the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home. Rev. Ralph Claybaugh of the Congregational Church officiated. During the service vocal numbers were sung by Miss Bunee Kraut and Mrs. Duane Morschek being the accompanist. Burial was made in the family lot at Riverside Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Chris Backe, Ted Klabon, Chris Klay, Joe Pachkowski, Frank McErn and Henry Koplitz.
Mrs. Fred Geiger, nee Laura Fassbender, was born Oct. 15, 1877 in Wisconsin. In 1894 she was united in marriage to Fred Geiger who preceded her in death many years ago. The couple came to the Town of Longwood in 1917, where she lived and enjoyed farming until she became ill several months ago.
She is survived by two sons, Henry, Withee and Howard of Loveland, Colo.; three daughters, Mrs. Julius (Helen) Wineberg, Appleton, Wis., Mrs. Lyle (Rosene) Bulmer, Eau Claire, Wis., and Mrs. Adolph (Nellie) Yoder, Flint, Mich.; 10 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
