A. K. Blaisdell of Stevens Point was in the Village Friday.
D, M. Hanson and son Lee were Marshfield callers Friday.
Born to Reinholdt Plath and wife, Saturday Feb. 18, a daughter.
Geo. Farrington transacted business at Marshfield on Monday.
Herman Prehn has purchased the Zetti property. Consideration $1600.
Effie Williams closed the winter term of school Friday in the Drew district.
M. C. Blake came home from Wausau Monday where he has been acting on the jury.
Martha Potts of Unity was the guest of relatives and friends Saturday and Sunday.
Harvey Stewart and wife of March visited the former's parents in our village Sunday.
Rev. and Mrs. A. N. Conklin spent Thursday and Friday at Marshfield in attendance at the Sunday School Institute.
News was received Sunday that Frank Cressy had died at Phoenix, Ariz., of hemorrhage of the lungs, and that his body would be sent back here for interment. He bad consumption and went west in December thinking he would be benefited by the change. Friends of his here received letters from him last week and the news of his death was quite a shock to them.
He leaves no family but had many friends, having lived in the community many years.

S. S. Butters was a business visitor at Marshfield between trains Saturday.
Mrs. Louis Frank has returned from an extended visit with relatives at McMillan.
A. R. Butters, an attendant in the northern hospital for insane, is here visiting the scenes of his childhood.
Valentine season is among the past again, and many are pleased with the pretty pictures they have received.
A number from here attended the masquerade ball at Unity last Saturday evening, and report a glorious good time and their actions certainly correspond with their word.
Sunday last Frank Cressy, an aged citizen of this town departed this life at his home. The funeral was a beautiful testimony of the love and esteem in which he was held, in the community which has been so many years his home.
Why would it not be a good plan, for the farmers of this immediate vicinity to form a farmers' association? Certainly it would result in much good. Nothing is of more importance to a community than the farming interests. All matters of importance to farmers could be discussed and action taken whereby their affairs could be placed on a better basis. Farmers, meditate upon it.
