Malinowski, Mary Ann (30 APR 1960)
St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church in Thorp was the setting for the wedding Saturday morning of Miss Mary Ann Malinowski and Jerome Wnek.
Mrs. Rose Malinowski of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.) is the mother of the bride, and Mr. and Mrs. John Wnek of Thorp are the groom’s parents.
The Rev. F. S. Disher officiated and the church choir sang.
The bride was given in marriage by her grandfather, John M. Witek.
She wore a gown of Chantilly lace fashioned with a Sabrina neckline and long sleeves. The bouffant skirt featured lace panniers extending down each side over alternating tieres of lace. Pearls and sequins accented the scalloped crown which held her illusion veil.
Joan Nowobielski of Thorp was the maid of honor and bridesmaids were Miss Pat Malinowski, Alice Witek and Josephine Malinowski, all of Withee.
They wore gowns of maize and blue fashioned on empire lines with shawl collars and bouffant floor length skirts of nylon over spring flower prints. Completing their attire wore matching braided headpieces.
Geraldine Halida and James Szemarj were flower girl and ring bearer.
Clarence Piwoni of Chicago was best man and groomsmen were Gerald Szymanski of Thorp, David Bickler, Milwaukee, and David Witek, Withee.
Following the ceremony a reception was held in the parish hall.
The bride attended Owen-Withee High School. Mr. Wnek attended Thorp High School and is engaged in farming near Thorp where the couple will make their home.
