Vickers, Hazel G. (7 JUL 1902 - 21 MAY 1960)
Funeral services were held for Hazel Grace Vickers of rural Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) on May 24th at the Alliance Church. The Rev. J. R. Stone officiated and interment was made at the Riverside Cemetery.
Mrs. Vickers passed away at her home Saturday, the cause of her death was due to carcinoma of the throat. She reached the age of 57 years, 10 months and 4 days. Pallbearers were Ed Hoffman, Fred Hoeper, Virgil Bublitz, Carl Williams, Louis Larson and Gordon Thorson. In charge of the floral offerings were Carol Bartosiak, Janet Karrow, Donna Burris and Mrs. Burris.
Mrs. Vickers was born July 7, 1902, to Ella Whaley and John Lott in Lytton, Iowa. On Nov. 20, 1919, she married Ralph Vickers, the ceremony was performed at Rockwell City, Iowa. To this union three children were born, Robert, Lloyd and Dorothy. Mr. and Mrs. Vickers made their home in Iowa and Oklahoma prior to coming to Wisconsin in 1925. They lived in the Town of Holway and for the past 10 years they settled on a farm in the Town of Hoard.
Her untimely passing is mourned by her husband, Ralph, two sons, Robert of Milwaukee, and Lloyd of rural Owen; one daughter, Mrs. George (Dorothy) Shattuck of route 2, Owen; four grandsons; five sisters, Mrs. Milt (Addie) Carlyle of Springfield, Colo.; Mrs. J.P. (Elva) Detman of Dover, Delaware; Mrs. Marion (Myrtle) Lott of Longville, Minn.; Mrs. Fern Lott of Clear Lake, Iowa, and Mrs. Beryl Hunt of Rockwell City, Iowa; one brother, Ralph Lott of Rockwell City, Iowa.
Her parents preceded her in death.
