Jensen, Carol (21 MAY 1960)

 

Miss Carol Jensen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Jensen, route 1, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), was married Saturday, May 21, 1960, at 10:00 o’clock in the morning to James E. Pekol,, son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Pekol Sr., route 1, Willard.  The Rev. Aloysius Madic officiated at the ceremony which took place in Holy Family Catholic Church, Willard.

 

After a wedding trip through the southern states, the couple will reside at Greenwood (Clark Co.).

 

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a floor length gown of frosted nylon organza fearturing a crushed taffeta cummerbund which extended into a large bow in the back.  The fitted bodice was made with a square neckline and short sleeves.  Her headpiece trimmed with orange blossoms held a fingertip veil.  She carried a cascade of pink roses and white stephanotis.

 

Miss Shirley Burmeister, Boyd, and a friend of the bride’s, was maid of honor.  Bridesmaids were Miss Judy Jensen, Cedarburg; Miss Carol Debevec, Waukegan, Ill.; Miss Angie Pekol, Neillsville, all cousins of the groom, and Miss Judy Pekol, the groom’s sister.  All wore floor length gowns of white frosted nylon over blue taffeta styled with scoop necklines, cap sleeves and blue taffeta cummerbunds with bustles in back.  Their matching headbands had blusher veils.

 

Stanley pekol, Chicago, brother of the groom was best man.  Other attendants to the groom were Dick and Edwin Jensen, brothers of the bride, Frank Pekol Jr., Neillsville, cousin of groom and Ernie Pekol, brother of the groom.  Ushering duties were performed by Jerry Reichwald of Racine and Stanley Pernic of Chicago.

 

A wedding dinner at noon was followed by a reception fro two to five o’clock in the afternoon at the West Side Hall, Willard.  A dance was held in the evening at the Silver Dome at Neillsville.
