Hatch, F.E. (business trip - Mar 1914)

F.E. Hatch of Detroit arrived here last week and spent several days here.  He came for the purpose of ascertaining the likelihood of the water power on Black River being developed here and it is understood that while here he met with some encouragement, but just what will come of his visit is not known.  Since leaving here three years ago, Mr. Hatch, who is now connected with the Detroit Construction Co., has built three water power plants and one steam plant for his company and he has considerable financial backing.  While here he was not in a position to say just what the prospects for a development here were, but it is sincerely hoped that his visit will have some meaning for Neillsville.
