Zalewski, Jean (7 JUN 1960)
A beautiful candlelight ceremony was performed at 7:30 p.m. at St. John’s Evangelical Church when Miss Jean Zalewski exchanged vows with Wayne Chester Thompson on Tuesday, June 7th, 1960. The Rev. Otto Boettcher officiated. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Edward Zalewski of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.) and Mr. and Mrs. Orville Thompson of Owen.
The bride wore a floor length gown of nylon net which featured a Sabrina neckline and long traditional tapered sleeves that highlighted the fitted Basque. A tiara crown trimmed with rhinestones and seed pearls held the fingertip veiling. She carried a bouquet of red and white roses.
Carole Thompson, a cousin of the groom and also the bride’s friend, was maid of honor. She wore a gown of ballerina length in blue nylon flocked with white. She carried pink and white carnations.
Best man was Daniel Thompson. He and the groom wore white dinner jackets and black trousers.
A reception was held in the church parlors after the ceremony.
Mrs. Thompson is a graduate of the Owen-Withee High School of the class of 1960. Mr. Thompson is a 1958 graduate of the Medford High School and presently is in the Navy, stationed at Adak, Alaska. Mr. and Mrs. Thompson will make their home in Milwaukee.
