Devine, Martha R. (24 OCT 1905 - 4 JUL 1960)
At 9:30 tomorrow morning a Requiem Mass will be said at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Owen, for Mrs. Morris Devine. The deceased passed away at 11:50 p.m. July 4th, 1960, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, where she was being treated for a lingering illness. Father H.L. Crubel will officiate at the final rites with interment to be made at Riverside Cemetery.
Mrs. Devine was the former Martha Rose Vetterkind, being born Oct. 24, 1905, in the Town of Reseburg (Clark Co., Wis.). In 1923 she united in marriage to Andrew Harsky at Sheboygan. Two years later he lost his life in a drowning accident in the Black River. In 1934 she remarried, exchanging wedding vows with Morris Devine who passed away in 1957.
Saddened by her lengthy illness and suffering are a daughter, Mrs. Wayne (June) Rhoor, Milwaukee; one son, Michael, Owen; three sisters, Mrs. Lawrence (Emily) Page, Milwaukee, Mrs. Berlie (Ethel) Jennings, Thorp, and Mrs. Carl (Ella) Miller, Withee; three brothers, William and Charles Vetterkind, Withee, and Arthur Vetterkind, Owen, and one granddaughter, Kathryn Ellen Rhoor.
