Taylor, Marlene M. (27 AUG 1960)

 

Miss Marlene Margery Taylor of Dorchester (Clark Co., Wis.) became the bride of Walter Joseph Pietrzen of Owen during a 10:00 o’clock ceremony at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Stetsonville Saturday, Aug. 27, 1960.

 

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Orville Taylor and Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Pietrzen.

 

The Rev. Wilfred Fries officiated before an altar decorated with bouquets of gladioli.

 

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a floor length gown of Chantilly lace over taffeta with a Sabrina neckline outlined with sequins and seed pearls and long sleeves.  A seed pearl and sequin crown held her veil of illusion and she carried a bouquet of red and white roses with stephanotis.

 

Miss Beth Piowni of Abbotsford was maid of honor and bridesmaids were Miss Ellen Vanderhoof of Spencer, Miss Judy Krempel of Chicago, Mrs. Richard Przybylski of Gilman, Miss Pat Piwoni of Abbotsford, and Mrs. Erland Schweke of Spencer.  They carried bouquets of white and vari-colored carnations to match their floor length bodices and bows of satin and lace.  Crown headpieces held their veils.

 

Anthony Pietrzen Jr. was best man, and groomsmen were Gene Pietrzen, Ronnie Anderson of Michigan, Richard Przybylski of Gilman, Jim Kaz of Owen, Erland Schweke of Spencer.

 

Ushers were Ken Langteau, Dale Vanderhoof Jr. and Don Andrews.

 

Dinner and supper were served in the church basement, a reception was held in the C.O.F. Club House and the Dorchester Memorial hall was the scene of an evening dance.

 

Mrs. Taylor selected a rose lace dress with white accessories for her daughter’s wedding, while Mrs. Pietrzen wore a pink lace dress with wwhite accessories.  Both mothers had corsages of red roses and white carnations.

 

Mrs. Pietrzen is a graduate of Medford High School and the groom is a graduate of Owen-Withee High School.  He is employed by the Western Condensing Co.

 

After a wedding trip through western states, the couple will make their home in Owen.
