Funeral services will be held at 2:00 o’clock this afternoon, Thursday, Oct. 13, from the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home, Owen, for Henry Bublitz, 63, Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.). The Rev. D. Olson, Curtiss, will officiate and burial will be made at Pine Hill Cemetery at Curtiss.
Serving as pallbearers will be Tony Hennlich, Joe Schizik, Clarence Geary, Alfred Erickson, Archie Ackerman and John Pukkila.
The deceased was rushed to the Veterans Hospital at Madison Saturday forenoon in the City of Owen ambulance, where he was being treated for a perforated ulcer. He passed away on Monday.
Henry Bublitz was born May 21, 1897 in Milwaukee. As a youth he was engaged in wood working prior to entering the service during World War I. In later years he continued the vocation of woodworking, and of late years served as a bartender at Tonn’s Tavern in Curtiss.
He was unmarried but mourning his passing are three brothers, Otto of Owen, Edward of Curtiss, and Al of Milwaukee, and also one sister, Adela Bublitz, also of Milwaukee.
