The Nazareth Lutheran Church, Withee, was the scene of a lovely wedding service attended by immediate relatives and close friends of Pauline Marie Nelson and Clifford Daines, both of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), Saturday afternoon, Oct. 29th, 1960.
Rev. Byrl Knudsen, pastor of the parish, read the single ring ceremony.
For the occasion the bride selected a gren and beige dress with green accessories and flwoers of pink tea roses with rust mums. Her bridesmaid, Mrs. Theresa Auberg, wore a winter white brocade dress with green accessories and flowers of gold and pink carnations.
John Whittemore served as the groom’s best man.
Members of the bridal party and their families sat down to a 5:00 o’clock dinner served at the Woodland Hotel. That evening the couple received more than 200 guests and well-wishers at a reception held at the Legion Hall, Owen.
Mrs. Daines is the daughter of Mrs. M. Finney, Marshfield, and a graduate of that school system. For several years she has been employed at Weddig’s Drug Store, Owen.
Mr. Daines if the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Seth Daines, Colby, and a graduate of Colby High School. He has been employed for years as a truck dirver out of the Owen terminal of the Western Condensing Co.
Relatives and friends from out of town came from Withee, Greenwood, Dorchester, Marshfield and Milwaukee.
