Blanke, Vera #3 (12 NOV 1960)
The Rev. F. H. Sprengler officiated at the wedding of Mrs. Vera Blanke, Colby, and Kenneth Strohkirch, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), in the parsonage of Christ Lutheran Church at Abbotsford Saturday evening, Nov. 12, 1960, at 6:30 o’clock. A supper for the immediate families was served at Casa Grande in Abbotsford, following the ceremony.
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Mueller, Abbotsford, and Mr. and Mrs. Russell Strohkirch of Owen are the parents of the bridal couple.
Mrs. Blanke’s brown wool suit which she donned for her wedding was styled by three-quarter-length sleeves, a round neckline and was worn with a brown and beige feather half-hat and a corsage of yellow Cymbidium orchids and yellow rosebuds.
Mr. and Mrs. Dean Ward of Milwaukee were the bridal couple’s attendants. Mrs. Ward wore a dark blue suit with a white feather half-hat and corsage of yellow roses and white carnations.
Mrs. Strohkirch attended Abbotsford High School and has been employed at Marge’s Flowers, Abbotsford. Her husband attended Owen High School and is employed at American Box Board Co., Inc., at Colby.
They will reside at 609 S. Main St., Colby, on returning from a wedding trip through the southwester states.
