Meier, Shirley (DEC 1960)
Miss Shirley Meier, daughter of Mrs. Oscar Latourell, was united in marriage with Lawrence Ciokiewicz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Tony Ciokiewicz of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Park Falls, at an 11 o’clock Mass, with Father Trasey officiating and the Children’s Choir singing.
The bride was attended by her sister-in-law, Mrs. Katherine Ciokiewicz, and Alfred Ciokiewicz attended his brother as best man.
Shirley was a beautiful in a white traditional wedding gown with a gored skirt, scalloped neckline and long sleeves, "an original" designed and made by her sister, Mrs. Russell Slack. She carried a white prayer book with a white orchid. Her veil fell from a crown of sequins and pearls.
Her matron of honor chose a beige street length sheath gown with a net overskirt, with matching headpiece and accessories and carried a white and turquoise bouquet.
