Smazal, Rosetta V. (16 FEB 1935 - 21 MAY 2011)

SPENCER -- Rosetta V. Smazal, 76, of Spencer died Saturday, May 21, 2011, at Ministry Saint Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield. Burial will take place in West Spencer Cemetery. The visitation will be Thursday at the funeral home, from 12:30 p.m. until service time.

Rosetta was born Feb. 16, 1935, in Auburndale to Peter and Dora (Weinfurter) Hamus. She married Charles Smazal Jr. on April 30, 1953, in Vesper. He died Sept. 9, 1982.

She and her husband farmed in the Spencer area, and after her husband's death, Rosetta continued to farm with her daughters.

She is survived by four children, Elaine Smazal, Phyllis Smazal, Dennis Smazal and Philip Smazal, all of Spencer; and one grandson.
