Hicks, Bert (? - 21 JAN 1941)

The Banner Journal chronicles the death of Bert Hicks of Merrillan at the Krohn Hospital last Tuesday evening, of a heart ailment.  Since the death of his wife, Mr. Hicks had lived in his trailer house, and he had the trailer located near the county shops in Black River Falls this winter, making keys and grinding and sharpening meat cutter tools.  During the summer months he travelled the territory sharpening and repairing lawn mowers.  Bert was a likable fellow and had numerous friends throughout the vicinity who will miss his frequent visits with the repair car.  He had no near relatives.
