Fletcher, Roy (Canning Co. Mgr. - MAR 1941)

The new processor and local manager arrived this week and is in charge of the Humbird (Clark Co. Wis.) Cannery, succeeding R.H. Ecke, who retires after thirteen years of management to take his own plant at Mondovi.  The new manager is Mr. Roy Fletcher, who brings with him from Menomonie Falls an excellent reputation as a canner and plant manager.  Mr. Fletcher will move his family here and occupy the company’s house as soon as convenient, after Mr. Ecke and family leave for their new home.  All canners are anticipating an exceptionally busy year ahead, and as stocks are getting depleted and warehouses empty, there will be busy times when the machinery starts humming next summer.
