Lencz, Pauline (6 June 1928 - 19 April 2011)
Pauline Lencz, age 82, of Lublin, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2011, at the Clark County Health Care Center, in Owen. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 26, 2011, at Holy Assumption Orthodox Church in Lublin with burial in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held at Thorp Funeral Hope on Monday, April 25, 2011, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Panikhida service. Visitation will also be held at the church, on Tuesday, from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.

Pauline Lencz, age 82, of Lublin, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2011, at Clark County Health Care Center in Owen, WI. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, April 26, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Assumption Orthodox Church in Lublin with Rev. Ted Wojcik officiating. Burial followed in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers were: Gregg Lencz, Randy Budrus, Charles Szemraj, Carmen Ricca, Dave Shewczyk, and Ron Ziemba. Visitation was held on Monday, April 25, 2011, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Thorp Funeral home with a 7:00 p.m. Panikhida service. Visitation was also held at the church on Tuesday, from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
Pauline Shewczyk was born on June 6, 1928, in Lublin, WI to Steve and Katherine (Niec) Shewczyk and received her education at area schools. She was united in marriage to Harry Lencz on October 15, 1946, at Holy Assumption Orthodox Church. Pauline and her husband owned and operated Lencz’s Locker and Food Market for over 40 years. Additionally, Pauline worked as a home health care nurse and later worked for Weathershield.
In her spare time, Pauline enjoyed decorating Ukrainian Easter Eggs the year round. By paying strict attention to the smallest details, her Easter Eggs were widely recognized around the area and some were placed in art museums in Madison and Eau Claire. She also enjoyed watching football, softball, and baseball games over the years.
She was a member of Holy assumption Orthodox Church and helped start the Democratic Party in Lublin.
Pauline is survived by three sons: Gregg (Karen) Lencz of Withee, Gary Lencz of Withee, and Steven (Special friend Diane Wilds) Lencz of Owen; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters: Helen Ziemba of Stanley and Stella Gomulka of Lublin; and one brother: Harry (Mitzie) Shewczyk of Gilman; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry Lencz; five sisters: Julia Rusnak, Ann Schumann, Eva Lindbergh, Olga Munson, and Rosie Krawchuk; and one brother, Nick Shewczyk.
Pauline was a very caring person who always had time to help and enjoy others while she was physically able.
