Lokken, Mildred (31 MAY 1941)
Miss Mildred Lokken, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Lokken of Fairchild, and Mr. Fred Hefty, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Hefty of the town of Cleveland, were united in marriage, May 31st, 1941, at the home of Rev. N.E. Halvorsen in Osseo.
After their pictures were taken at Eau Claire, a family dinner was served at the groom’s home, served by Mrs. Herman Gerber and Mrs. Arthur Christen.
The bride was dressed in a jacket street dress of dusty rose, with white accessories, and wore a white gardenia corsage. Her attendant, Miss Sylvia Heft, wore a dusty blue dress with a corsage of sweet peas and tea roses.
The groom and his attendant, Woodruff Lokken of Black River Falls, wore dark blue suits.
A wedding dance was given in the town hall at Humbird (Clark Co., Wis.) in the evening with a large attendance.
Three showers were given in honor of the bride and groom, at which many lovely gifts were received.
The happy couple left Monday on a week’s honeymoon trip. Upon returning they will reside at the groom’s home. Much happiness is wished for them.
