Burt, Harold M. (Ordained - 22 JUN 1941)

Last Sunday evening the Rev. Harold M. Burt was ordained into the ministry at his home church, the Grace Evangelical and Reformed Church at Wausau.  The services was in charge of the Rev. Otto R. Gerber, pastor of the church, and he was assisted in the services by the Rev. E.C. Grauer, pastor of St. Paul’s Evangelical and Reformed Church of Wausau, and the Rev. Henry Meier of Stevens Point.

A congregation of more than a hundred relatives and friends of the new pastor was present to witness his ordination.  After the service a reception was held in the church parlors for Rev. Burt and family, and numerous gifts of flowers and a purse from the congregation, the Sunday school and the senior choir, and friends, was bestowed.  Among the guests present at the services and reception were Mr. and Mrs. John Michael and Mr. and Mrs. George Mueller, from this village (Humbird, Clark Co., Wis.).

Next Sunday evening the Rev. Burt will be installed as pastor of St. John’s Church, the services being at 8:00 o’clock.  Rev. P.H. Franzmeier of Greenwood will officiate, assisted by Rev. Siegfried Schmeichen of Colby and Rev. Theophil Blaufuss of Stratford.
