Hewson, Dr. Wilfred J. (1883? - 7 AUG 1941)
Dr. Wilfred J. Hewson, Alma Center physician, died suddenly at the Luther Hospital in Eau Claire last Thursday afternoon, at the age of nearly 58 years. He is survived by his widow, two brothers and two sisters. Dr. Hewson was an ex-service man, a member of the American Legion, the Masonic and Odd Fellow Lodges. He was a native of Canada. Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church in Alma Center Sunday afternoon, Rev. C. H. Pierstorff preaching the burial sermon. The Masonic rites were given by Antone Hauger of Black River Falls. The Odd Fellows Lodge had a part in the services, and the Legionnaires fired the volley over the grave in the Alma Center Cemetery, followed by the bugle taps.
