Elsie H. Kelpin
Elsie H. Kelpin, 95, Payette, died Aug. 21, 1991, in a Payette nursing home. Services were 10 a.m. Aug. 24 at the Pilgrim Lutheran Church, Ontario. The Rev. David Schmidt of Zion Lutheran Church, Nampa, officiated. Burial followed in Riverside Cemetery, Payette, under the direction of Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette, Idaho.
She was born Sept. 11, 1895, at Neillsville, Wis., a daughter of Gottlieb and Johanna Mallig. She was raised and educated in Wis. where she also married Paul Kelpin, Sept. 11, 1920. Elsie and her family moved to Payette in 1928. She was a homemaker her entire life and died (unreadable) enjoyed gardening and flowers. She was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church, Ontario, and was active for many years in L. W. M. L.
Survivors include two sons, Arthur Kelpin and Russell Kelpin, both of Payette; three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Emma) Ledington of Payette, Mrs. Jim (Lucille) Bischoff of Mountain Home, and Marion Cochran of Boise; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren, and four g-g-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
Memorials may be made to Pilgrim Lutheran Church or to a favorite charity, in care of Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, P.O. Box 730, Payette 83661.
