Kapelush, Gladys (9 April 1914 - 18 March 1962)
Mrs. Leonard Kapelush, 47, Rt. 3, Neillsville, died Sunday in Neillsville, following an illness of several months. Funeral services are to be held Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Bergemann Funeral home. The Rev. E. G. Burtness of the Calvary Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.
The former Gladys Van Marton was born April 9, 1914, in Florence. She received her education there and later worked in Waukesha and Hartland. Her second marriage took place on February 14, 1948, in Racine, to Leonard Kapelush. They moved onto a farm in Pine Valley Township, southwest of Neillsville, on June 1, 1961.
Mrs. Kapelush is survived by her husband and the following children: Mrs. Ray (Iva) Jolly, Kodiak, Alaska; Myron Lutze, Topeka, Kans., Robert Lutze, with the Navy in the Pacific; Ethel Lutze, Racine; Pfc. William Lutze, with the armed forces in France; Sally Lutze, Racine; Barbara Kapelush and Leonard Kapelush, Neillsville. Six grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters also survive: Paul, Bill, and Joe Van Marton, Mrs. Iva Staubbs, Miss Margaret Van Marton, and Mrs. Clarence (Dorothy) Farnsworth, all of Racine.
