Mahlon Lund Jr. was numbered with the ill the last of the week.
Mrs. Roy Keeler arrived from Miami, Fla., last week, being called home by the illness of her father, Mrs. Bryner. John Babler and his sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Schmeidlin of Monticello, grandchildren, were also there Monday.
Herbert Giloy, John Nibbe and Arthur Putman are the selectees from here leaving from Loyal for army service. The quota from the county will be about fifty. A farewell dancing party was held for the home trio at the town hall Wednesday night.
Carl Johnson of Osseo, who has been employed in Milwaukee, has been spending a while in the village.
Mr. and Mrs. A.E. Fradenburg accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Yankee of Neillsville on a trip to Eau Claire Monday.
Mrs. P.A. Hemmy has returned from the hospital and is convalescing at her home on the farm. A rapid recovery is anticipated.
Mrs. Mahlon Houghton came from Beloit last Saturday evening on matters of business connected with the farm.
