Bruesewitz, Elroy P. "Bud" (6 MAR 1926 - 27 MAY 2011)
Elroy P. "Bud" Bruesewitz, 85, of Marshfield passed away Friday,
May 27, 2011, at the Marshfield Care Center.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at
Faith Lutheran Church in Marshfield. The Rev. Tricia Turner will
officiate. Burial will be held in the Colby Memorial Cemetery.
A time of visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of services
Wednesday at the church. Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home in
Marshfield is serving the family.
Bud was born March 6, 1926, the son of Robert and Amanda (Fremund)
Bruesewitz in the town of Brighton, Marathon County. He graduated
from Harding School in the town of Brighton. Bud was united in
marriage to Arline M. Holland on May 8, 1976. She preceded him in
death March 14, 2008.
Bud drove school bus for the Butternut School District, tended bar
in Spencer, drove a cattle truck and worked for the Soo Line
Railroad as a foreman building bridges and stockyards, retiring
after 26 years. After retirement, he drove a railroad shuttle bus
for the workers.
Bud was very outgoing and enjoyed visiting with everyone. He also
liked fishing, camping, polkas and attending horse pulls.
Bud is lovingly survived by stepsons, Gerald Glenzer, Colby, Lloyd
(Chris) Holland, Plano, Ill., Jack (Dinah) Holland, Marshfield, and
James Holland, Marshfield; 16 grandchildren; 11
great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. He is
further survived by nieces and nephews, including Betty Spring,
Stratford.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Amanda; his
wife, Arline; and brothers and sisters.
