Strey, Eralen C. (6 AUG 1915 - 24 MAY 2011)

GRANTON -- Eralen Charles Strey, 95, of Osseo died Tuesday May 24, 2011, at his home.

Eralen was born Aug. 6, 1915, in Granton, to Robert and Anna (Thomas) Strey. He married Rosa Gehres on Aug. 26, 1939, in Muscatine, Iowa. She preceded him in death on Sept. 24, 1997.

Eralen farmed in the town of Bridge Creek, Eau Claire County. He moved to Osseo from the farm in 1972.

Eralen is survived by his son LeRoy Strey of Barron; daughters, Patricia Stone of Nampa, Idaho, Anne Sharp of Edgewater, Fla., and Nancy Strey of Edgewater Fla.; five grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren. He is further survived by his brothers and sisters, Ernest Strey of Necedah, Helen Domine of Marshfield, Hazel (Marvin) Seeman of Marshfield, La Verne Morin of Menomonee Falls, Norma Potter of Marshfield, Ceylon (Mare) Strey of Elkhorn, and Robert (Joann) Strey of Franklin.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today, May 27, 2011, at Osseo Evangelical Lutheran Church. Friends may call from noon until the time of services at the church on Friday.

Schiefelbein Funeral Home in Osseo is assisting the family.
