Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Brown and Miss Edith Nelson of Wausau, were weekend guests at St. John’s Parsonage.

 

Mrs. Fred Theiler Jr., who entered the Krohn Hospital last Saturday, underwent a major operation Tuesday forenoon.  All friends are hoping for her speedy recovery.

 

Mr. and Mrs. H.H. Nibbe took their son Alfred, who was home from Texas on a furlough, to Wis. rapids last Saturday to board the train on his way back to camp.  Kenneth Nibbe is to report at Madison this week for induction.  He will be the third son of Mr. and Mrs. Nibbe in the service.

 

Caryl, next to youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Bemis, was quite ill for the first of the week with bronchial pneumonia.  Dr. Schwarz attended her.

 

Miss Beryl Martin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Martin, a student at Superior Teachers College, was elected president of the Grammar Junior High department of the college at its meeting Feb. 17th.

 

E.W. Johnson and A.E. Krueger made a trip to Marshfield one day first of the week.

 

Rev. Harrold M. Burt officiated at the funeral of Ronald Funmaker at the Indian Mission Sunday afternoon.

 

Miss Frances Dimmitt left Monday morning for Eau Claire to accept a nursing position at the Sacred Heart Hospital.

 

Mrs. Mina Cole, Chester Bailey and family, and Prin. Noyes went to Neillsville last Sunday to help Silas Delano celebrate his 89th birthday.  Mr. Delano, who is being cared for at a nursing home in Greenwood, was taken to the home of his daughter, Mrs. C.E. Bollom in Neillsville for the party.  Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hart of Mondovi, were also present at the party.
