At the annual meeting of Mentor Cemetery Association held recently, Frank Moore was chosen as one of the directors of the association in place of Jacob Baumgartner, deceased.  Since its organization the association has had an active list of officers, which has shown well in the care and management of the cemetery.  The election of Mr. Moore is well chosen.

Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Peterson and Mrs. Haske of Red Wing, Minn., visited at the Nibbe home last Friday.  They came at this time to see their nephew, Pvt. Alfred Nibbe, before he left for overseas.

Mr. and Mrs. W.F. Hein and Miss Welda drove to Alma Sunday and then down the river road to La Crosse, where they stopped for dinner,  After dinner, Miss Welda’s mother joined them on a trip to Prairie du Chien, where the visited the old Dousman home, which is a historic spot of that city.
