Dale Olson is spending a week at the H.A. Stuve home at Owen.

Miss Ellen Raether returned the last of the week from spending a short time with Mrs. D.O. Fowler and daughters in Minneapolis.

Mrs. Geo. Laffe is making a week’s visit with her daughter, Mrs. Frank Haag and family at North Bend.

Mr. and Mrs. E.W. Johnson and daughter Verna were visitors the last of the week and first of this with Arthur Seefelt and family in Minneapolis.  Mr. Seefelt was a former neighbor of Mr. Johnson’s, residing here when his father operated the cheese factory quite a number of years ago.

Mr. and Mrs. E.R. Schmidt of Nekoosa were callers in town last Saturday, looking after his property.  They also visited relatives in Fairchild.

Mrs. A. Brandstedter’s house is having a new coat of paint.  Leon Phillips is wielding the brush.

Fred Dunn, who received some serious cuts and uncountable sprains and bruises, when a load of hay capsized one day last of the week, returned from the hospital at B.R. Falls Monday evening.  Mr. Dunn was helping Will Theiler with haying on the hills west of the lake when the accident happened.  He was brought into Dr. Schwarz’s office where he was given aid, and sent to the hospital for care.  Mr. Dunn’s injuries centered about his head, shoulders and chest.

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Klatt returned Tuesday evening from a visit with their son and family at Janesville.  He reports a wonderful grain and corn crop developing in that part of the state.

W.E. Dimmitt reports the catch of a 4 lb. silver bass in Lake Emerson last Friday night.  Mr. Dimmitt reports hooking a much larger one, but it got a way.  Lake Emerson is doing its bit with rough and game fish, including turtles.
