Jinkerson, Sanford #2 (1 NOV 1884 - 30 SEP 1942)

 

Richard Sanford Jinkerson, the son of Richard and Delila Jinkerson, was born Nov. 1, 1884, at Wrightsville, Wis., and met his death Sept. 30, 1942, at the age of 57 years, 11 months and 1 day.

 

Funeral services were held Oct. 3rd, at 1:30 at the home and 2:00 o’clock at the Methodist Church in Merrillan, the Rev. C. H. Pierstorff conducting the services.  Burial was in the family lot in the cemetery at Alma Center.

 

Mr. Jinkerson grew to manhood in the town of Manchester, Jackson Co., and was united in marriage to Jessie Waters on Oct. 16, 1907.  To this union was born one son, Richard Sanford.  Both preceded him in death.

 

On Aug. 23, 1912 he was united in marriage to Miss Gladys Kimball of Black River Falls, and to this union were born three children, whom with their mother mourn the loss of a dearly beloved husband and father, namely: Virgil of Humbird; Clarence of Wis. Rapids; and Mrs. Walter Cooper of Merrillan.  There are two grandchildren, Duane and Darlene, and one brother, Edward of Black River Falls, besides many other relatives survive.

 

Relatives and friends from away attending the burial were Robert Ritter and son Carl, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Hamil, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Linbloom, Beloit; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Jinkerson and son, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Dombroch, Mr. and Mrs. B.B. Haza, Vernon Campbell, Mr. and Mrs. Bervil Walker, Henry Ashbeck, and Peter Jensky, all of Wis. Rapids.
