Bautch, James T. "Jim" (13 OCT 1950 - 30 MAY 2011)
James "Jim" T. Bautch, 60, of Neillsville, passed away Monday, May 30, 2011, at Ministry Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.
Jim was born Oct. 13, 1950, in Whitehall, the son of Rose (Kampa) and Eugene Bautch. He graduated from Independence High School in 1968. Jim went to the Eau Claire Technical College for Banking for 21/2 years. He was united in marriage to Annette Severson on May 17, 1969, in Independence. They lived in Rice Lake, Bloomer and Chippewa Falls while he worked for Thorp Finance. Eventually, he transferred to the Neillsville Bank when they moved to Neillsville. Jim then took a job with M&I Bank and then with the State Bank of Withee until he retired.
Jim loved to golf and go fishing, taking care of his yard and collecting baseball cards, watching football and birds. He loved the Badgers, Brewers and Colts and watching his grandchildren. He was a member of the Neillsville Lions Club, Men's Club, Police & Fire Commission and the Turtle Club.
He is survived by his wife, Annette; and two sons, Charles (Marena) Bautch of Minneapolis, Minn., and Rob (Becky) Bautch of Reedsburg; four grandchildren, Samariah, Sandy "Dodger," Macklin and Josephine. He is also survived by his mother, Rose Bautch of Whitehall; a brother, Dennis "Butch" (Mary) Bautch of Watertown; and a sister, Doris J. Bautch of Whitehall.
Jim was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Bautch.
Jim requested that, in lieu of a funeral, we gather at the Neillsville Country Club in a celebration of life. Instead of flowers, contributions may be made to the James T. Bautch Memorial Scholarship Fund (at the gathering or mailed to 300 W. 18th St., Neillsville, WI 54456).
The memorial gathering will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, June 3, 2011, at the Neillsville Country Club. Feel free to wear any Badgers, Brewers or Colts attire.
