Albin Erickson passed away about noon, Friday, Dec. 11, 1942, at a Madison hospital, at the age of 45 years.  On Sept. 28, last, he met with an accident while helping the neighbors fill silo, which caused a paralysis of the greater part of his body, and on Oct. 10th underwent an operation on his spine with hopes of getting help.  But it was of no avail, and he gradually became weaker, passing to the Great Beyond last Friday.

June 1, 1927, he was united in marriage with Miss Rose Hahn, at the Immaculate Conception Church in Alma Center.  They have operated farms in this vicinity ever since.  At the time of the accident which eventually resulted in his death, they were residing on the Frank Benish farm near this village (Humbird, Clark Co., Wis.)..

Besides his wife and brother and sister, Mr. Erickson is survived by an aged uncle, G.A. Erickson, and aunt, Mrs. H.J. Olson.  He was a member of the Catholic Church, and Rosary was said at the home at 9:15 Monday evening.  The funeral was conducted from St. Joseph’s Church at Fairview Tuesday morning by the Rev. A.J. Ausman and interment was in the cemetery at the church.  Pallbearers were: Andrew Lubinski, Harvey Harmon, Max Schenk, Percy Bemis, Clarence Linder and Paul Elger.

Those from away attending the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Dahl, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Erickson, Christine and Ida Erickson, Steve Hahn, Mrs. H. Speth, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Rienick, Alma Center; Mr. and Mrs. Olaf Peterson, Minneapolis; Sgt. Lawrence Kobrak, Kessler Field, Miss.; Syvert Kolbrak, Merrillan.
